WHAT'S AN 'INTEGRATED RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY'?

Derived from "community integration", it's a place that provides:

  3. Social activities
3 things important to EVERYONE

HOOO'S COMMUNITY:

Friendships.
    Community.
          Integration.

LOCATION

The HOOO community will be located on a desirable 5.86-acre site within the Village of New Glarus, already zoned for commercial or multi-family housing. The parcel, with frontage on Elmer Road, overlooks the Little Sugar River, and is within easy walking distance to Valle Tell Park, grocery and convenience stores, clinics, a pharmacy and banks. New Glarus’s central shopping and restaurant areas are also within bike or walking distances. The Sugar River Trail is directly adjacent to the site. Nearby Highway 69 provides a convenient route to potential employers in Belleville, Verona, Mt. Horeb, Monroe and Madison.

COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHTS
The physical layout of the residential community will encourage the feeling of a true neighborhood with easy walking access to all areas. Design features will encourage natural interactions, friendship and a sense of belonging. Landscaped grounds will blend with the surrounding area and the buildings will be attractive in appearance. In addition to residential units, the project will include community spaces for social events, community meals, and other activities open to all residents.

"This project is really appealing to me, and I think it will be appealing to others like me in New Glarus and throughout Green County. An integrated rental community like this would provide residents with quality rental housing, social opportunities, and less responsibility for home upkeep."
- Beth Luchsinger
(Green County Board Member & New Glarus resident)
